I am a native of the Upstate, raised in Greenwood, S.C. I am a wife, mother of two boys, and a grandmother of a precious little girl. I am the founder and owner of the Birth Connection, now Juniper Women's Health & Wellness. I graduated from Greenville Technical College in 1999 with an Associate Degree, worked in the Women’s Center at Self Regional Healthcare as a registered nurse for many years. In 2010, I decided to further my education and a graduate from Lander University with a bachelor's in science of Nursing and University of Cincinnati in 2012 with a master's in science of Nursing and a focus in Midwifery. I am board certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board with an advance nursing license in South Carolina. I have participated in a variety of women’s health setting such as the home health, hospitals, and birth centers. I am also a CAPPA certified childbirth educator and have a special interest in education and anticipatory guidance during pregnancy. Working with expecting families is a true joy; helping them understand the changes in pregnancy, how to deal with the discomforts, offering choices in labor and supporting women, while truly empowering them.
I am originally from Anderson, SC but have called Greenwood home for many years. I am a mother of one wild little boy. I graduated from Lander University in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing. I started my career in critical care at Self Regional here in Greenwood. I also spent some time in post-anesthesia care, oncology and various settings as a travel nurse. Throughout my years of nursing, I have always felt a calling towards women's health. It wasn't until after my own pregnancy and delivery with a midwife that pushed me to pursue my calling further. I graduated from Frontier Nursing University in 2020 with a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Women's Health. I decided to go back to school & finished my post masters degree in midwifery in April of 2024. I am board certified by the National Certification Corporation with an advanced nursing license in South Carolina. I am excited to be partnering with women in this community from adolescents through menopause. My goal is to empower women to take part in their own health through education and a holistic approach.
